About David

Coach David is a passionate tennis player, racquet nerd, and RSPA-certified tennis coach. He played competitively throughout his school years before briefly stepping away to pursue his academic and musical career. After moving to Houston in 2023, David began coaching players of all ages and skill levels, discovering unique and effective ways to teach tennis fundamentals and technique. His adaptable coaching style focuses on meeting each student where they are, using multiple approaches to help them improve and enjoy the game. David holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from Indiana University and has a background as a music educator, which influences his approach to instruction. When he’s not on court coaching or playing, you can find him performing with the Houston Grand Opera chorus or at other musical venues around the city. Coach David is dedicated to helping players grow their skills, confidence, and passion for tennis — both on and off the court.
