About Coach Gavin

Coach Gavin was born and raised in Houston, outside of one year where he lived in Aberdeen, Scotland! For high school, he attended Awty International School, where he played both tennis and volleyball. He currently attends Rice University where he is studying mechanical engineering and playing tennis on the intramural team. His favorite hobbies include playing tennis, reading, and exercising. He plays both singles and doubles, although doubles is definitely his favorite.

Coaching Philosophy

Coach Gavin encourages players to enjoy the process of improvement. The goal is not to reach a certain level but instead to always be improving. He inspires players to fall in love with tennis like he did.
