About Sara

Sara Sommers discovered her love for tennis in an unlikely place: as the paid graduate assistant for the Baylor University Women's Tennis Team. That front-row seat to the game turned into a full-blown passion, and she took up competitive singles play soon after finishing grad school. In 2022, she won the USTA Texas NTRP National Championship in Women's 18 & Over 4.0 Singles, and she stays active today across numerous local Houston leagues. It was on the singles court, in fact, where she first faced off against Emma — a rivalry that grew into a friendship, then a training partnership, and eventually into My Tennis Wall. From 2022 to 2025, Sara also served on the Board of Directors for the Houston Tennis Association.

At My Tennis Wall, Sara leads corporate operations, partnerships, and growth, drawing on an MBA from Baylor University and a background in business operations. Based in Houston, TX, she's a mom of four on a mission to get at least one of her kids hooked on the game — no surprise, given everything tennis has given her: a sport she can play for life, real health benefits, and friendships that have lasted well beyond the final set.
